About Us Advantage Math Club is a cozy and cool place to learn math. We provide a new blended & integrated learning experience taught by Georgia Certified elementary teachers.
The relaxed, European-urban mixed interior fosters creativity and the perfect balance for meeting the learning needs of every child. Whether a child practices skills on our giant chalkboard wall, logs on to their individualized, web-based games and instruction, works individually with a teacher or plays higher-level, strategy math games -- our students know this is a great place to learn and it doesn't feel like school!
Many well-known tutoring centers qualify their instructors by a ‘personality’ test or a short instructor course. At Advantage Math Club we take your child’s success very seriously and hire only top performing teachers current with their certifications and in good standing with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
Advantage Math Club believes children need a variety of activities to keep them engaged in learning. Our "Blended Learning" approach is a 75 - minute session consisting of three, 25 minute segments (each taught in a different room) and provide a fully, integrated learning experience which includes: Remediation & Enrichment, Digital Adaptive Learning, Small Group Instruction, Higher Level Thinking and Test Taking Strategies.
Advantage Math Club was founded on the principal importance of being a collaborative effort with parents, local schools, and home school parents to support the Georgia Common Core Performance Standards by engaging, enriching & empowering students in a 21st century learning experience.
About the Director: Denise Detamore is a graduate of Belmont University, Nashville, TN and Georgia certified elementary teacher with twenty years teaching experience. As an EIP math teacher in Fulton & Gwinnett counties, her unique and positive teaching style has helped hundreds of children build confidence and gain independence in math. She has been recognized as an exemplary teacher by school administrators, teachers and parents alike. Ms. Detamore realized due to budget cuts in education, increases in class sizes; schools and parents often struggle with meeting the academic needs of every child.

Denise Detamore taught both of my children and I was consistently happy with the amount of patience and care in her approach. She really knew how to challenge them when things got easy and encourage them when they struggled. I would highly recommend her to any parent. She was born to teach!

Denise Detamore is an exemplary teacher that I have had the pleasure and honor of working with for several years. She puts the students' needs above all and supports and challenges them in every way. She has a nurturing, positive rapport with students that is very rare to find. Any students that have the opportunity to work with Denise will succeed to their fullest potential!

I have had the pleasure to work with Denise Detamore for several years. She has always been very positive and encouraging to the students she teaches. My students were always very excited to work with Ms. Detamore and always showed improvement in their math skills. Entrusting your children into Ms. Detamore's tutelage would be an excellent investment in your children's education.

Jane Stout is one of the teachers at Advantage Math Club. I have to say, she has a wonderful teaching style lead by her passion and knowledge. She is very patient, compassionate and thorough. A real thrill to have as a teacher, not only will your kids learn, they’ll love it and be compelled to continue outside the classroom.

I can't say enough GREAT things about Denise Detamore as a teacher and as a person! It's been some time since I was in her class (1994), but she left an impression on me as a student and in my personal life! Denise made learning fun and easy to understand. She made me look forward to coming to her class everyday, excited to soak up new material. I highly recommend her and Advantage Math Club to tutor and mentor your children!! As an expecting mother, I can only hope that my daughter has wonderful teachers like Denise to help her grow!
