enAble of Georgia Foundation to Participate in Georgia Gives Day
Georgia Gives Day is this Thursday, December 6, 2012 and enAble of Georgia Foundation, Inc., the fundraising arm of enAble of Georgia, Inc. (enAble), is excited to be participating! The purpose of Georgia Gives Day is to bring the state together as one community, to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour, flash mob of giving on the Website www.GAgivesday.org.
To quote Karen Beavor, President and CEO of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits – the organization presenting Georgia Gives Day – “Nonprofits touch nearly every part of our lives. We are very excited to give Georgians an opportunity to truly recognize the nonprofit organizations in their community and give where they live.”
enAble is available to help bring to life an example of the impact that a nonprofit has in its community. The 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Roswell. enAble’s mission is to support people with special needs to lead fulfilled lives – physically, intellectually, and socially. The more than 100 individuals served by enAble have intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. The organization provides day enrichment programs and employment training, and residential, in-home services. Transportation provided by enAble is a vital part of the organization’s service model, as daily access to the community keeps the people served connected and included. Individuals served residentially receive 24/7 support and guidance for all activities of daily living. Whenever possible, enAble serves individuals throughout their adult life span.
