Local Church Offers Holiday Support

The holidays can be stressful even when everything else in life is going well.  For those dealing who face the challenge of caring for an ailing loved one, the stress can feel overwhelming.  As part of its ongoing community outreach, Christ the King Lutheran Church in Peachtree Corners is offering help.

On Thursday, December 6, at 10am, Carol Mullen will be presenting a session on “Surviving the Holidays.”  Ms. Mullen is the Community Outreach Representative for Evercare Hospice and Palliative Care.  She has worked for years in the area of dementia and Alzheimer’s and is currently leading a number of support groups in the north metro area.  This session will focus on changes, expectations, grief and fear that may be experienced during the holiday season.  Ms. Mullen will offer tips on dealing with these emotions, difficult at any time of year but particularly challenging during the holidays.  The session is free, open to the public and will be held at the church.

For further information, call Christ the King Lutheran Church at 770-449-1211.  The church is located at 5575 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners.
