2012 Olympics: Friday's NBC TV Schedule

Swimming finals, plus Track and Field's opening night are the day's highlights.

The Friday schedule for the 2012 Olympics on NBC includes swimming, track & field, rowing, women's beach volleyball and women's water polo. NBC 
    10:00a - 10:30a Track & Field

    The opening day of Track & Field kicks off with qualifying rounds, including the women’s 400m, featuring Sanya Richards-Ross, who suffered a hamstring injury during the event in Beijing that resulted in her settling for bronze.

    10:30a - 10:45a Rowing

    Four more medals will be up for grabs in the men’s pair, single and quardruple sculls, and the women’s double sculls.

    10:45a - 11:30a Swimming

    Key qualifying heats in swimming include the men’s and women’s 4x100m medley relays, the men’s 1500m freestyle and women’s 50m freestyle.

    11:30a - 12:00p Track & Field

    More qualifying rounds from Day 1 of Track & Field.

    12:00p - 2:00p Beach Volleyball

    Two elimination-round matches in Beach Volleyball.

    2:00p - 2:30p Swimming

    More qualifying heats in Swimming including the women's 50m free, men's 1500m free, and women's and men's 4x100m medley relay.

    2:30p - 3:45p Women's Water Polo: USA vs. CHN

    The United States will try to deal China a third straight loss to in the final preliminary-round match in Group A. The US gave up three late goals and settled for a 9-9 draw with Spain on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, China lost its second straight match, 11-10 to Hungary.

    3:45p - 4:25p Rowing

    Four more medals will be up for grabs in the men’s pair, single and quardruple sculls, and the women’s double sculls.

    4:25p - 5:00p Track & Field

    A runner to watch is Kenya’s Vivian Cheruiyot, who could be in search of her first Olympic title after sweeping the 5000m and 10,000m races at last year’s World Championships in South Korea. American Shalane Flanagan – the 2012 Olympic trials Marathon winner – may look to improve on the bronze medal she won four years ago in Beijing.

    8:00p - 12:00a

    Swimming finals include the men's 100m butterfly, plus Track and Field's opening night, Diving, the U.S. women's Volleyball team faces Serbia, and the men's Trampoline final.
