Among the best things about living in Roswell, the family friendly activities held year round has to be one of them. And one of the most popular events, Alive After 5, takes over Canton Street again right now, Thursday, May 19.

Hundreds of local residents will descend upon historic Roswell tonight for the second Alive After 5 event of the season, which will continue through October. The event begins now, from 5 p.m  until 9 p.m.

Now in its sixth year, the event offers a little something for everyone - food, shopping, music and more. Retailers along Canton Street typically stay open late for the event, often offering special discounts to shoppers. In addition to the wonderful restaurants within the historic district, vendors will also be on hand to treat passersby to a symphony of delicious tastes. And finally, a variety of local bands entertain the crowds at different locations along the street, while various local companies set up temporary shop in the yards of existing retailers.

Follow signs for offsite parking and take advantage of the free trolley that will drop people off at several locations along Canton Street.
