Ben Fox Wins Roswell Community Tennis Association Scholarship

The $500 scholarship will go toward Fox's college education.

 

The Roswell Community Tennis Association (RCTA) recently presented Roswell High School student Ben Fox with a scholarship toward college.

The association gave Fox $500 for his college education. According to an RCTA press release, Fox as chosen because of his academic achievement and involvement with the Roswell tennis community.

"He has exemplified his eagerness to grow the sport of tennis," said the release.

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be a Roswell resident, or attend a high school in the Roswell area. Applicants should be a member of USTA, play high school tennis, or consistently play tennis out of Roswell Area Park.

The scholarship was officially presented to Fox last Sunday, March 4 during the RCTA Spring Championship Level 4 Juniors Tournament at Roswell Area Park.

The Roswell CTA supports, promotes, develops and sponsors tennis programs in Roswell, while working directly with the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department, as well as the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to grow the game of tennis.
