Celebrate the End of Summer on Sunday

Roswell's 11th annual celebration featuring food, entertainment and fireworks is free and open to the public, Sunday, Sept. 2.

 

The city of Roswell is celebrating the end of summer with its annual celebration and fireworks on Sunday, Sept. 2 at Centennial High School’s baseball field. 

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with large inflatables, face painting, glitter tattoos, carnival games, music and more.

Food by Shane’s Ribshack will include: Baby Back Ribs, Chopped Barbecue Pork Sandwich, Chopped Barbecue Chicken Sandwich, Hamburgers, Jumbo Fried Chicken Tenders and All Beef Hot Dogs.  

At 6 p.m. the sister group Von Grey takes the stage. Von Grey is a group of four local sisters who masterfully meld folk, bluegrass and country influences into their original songs. Big Biscuit Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. and don’t miss the annual Twist Contest for the kids. A spectacular fireworks display will begin at dark, which will be approximately 8:30 p.m.
