Centennial High took third place in a video contest sponsored by Road to Safety.

The program, started by Milton resident Lisa Cauley in 2010, challenges North Fulton students to think about driving safety by creating a two-minute video.

Centennial students Nico Alcantara, Paul Elliot and Ryan Mitchell produced the "Road to Safety," video that won the third place title.

This year's winning video, "The Wilted Rose," was produced by Johns Creek High students Samantha VanSickle, Mark Jackson, Chase Cappai and Cara Tripodis. Johns Creek High's Bryan Washington, Mark Jackson, Jesse McConnico and Sebastian Wetzel produced the second-place video "A Fatal Mistake."

Students from Chattahoochee, Northview, Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton and Cambridge high schools participated.

The awards presentation recently took place in Johns Creek High's auditorium and was hosted by Kicks 101.5FM's Cadillac Jack (Milton resident Hyde Choate) and Johns Creek student Kartik Kini.

The winning entry received $1,000; second place, $600; and third place, $400.

All entries were judged by Cauley, the Fulton School Board's Katie Reeves, Lt. John Borsey with the Milton Police Department and Steve Jones of Johns Creek Driving School.
