Chief Orrick Turns In Resignation
Former Roswell Police Chief Dwayne Orrick's last day was, Friday, Nov. 2.
Roswell Police Chief Dwayne Orrick was unexpectedly put on administrative leave last week, Wednesday, Oct. 31 and turned in his resignation the following day.
Orrick, who came from heading the Cordele Police Department in south Georgia, lead RPD for just under two years. He took over when former Chief Ed Williams resigned during the first quarter of 2011.
Speculation on why Orrick left have centered around the possibility that he was "in over his head."
City leaders have stayed mum on the cause for Orrick's departure, although open records requests have been submitted.
