This month, Roswell's CiCi’s Pizza location will raise money for Special Olympics Georgia.

From Monday, July 16 through Monday, Aug. 13, guests will be given the opportunity to purchase and personalize “Buy a Smile, Be a Fan” Special Olympics paper logos for $1. The logos will be displayed in the restaurants and all proceeds from the logo sales will benefit Special Olympics Georgia.

The fundraiser will conclude on Aug. 13 with a “Dough Raisers” event, a one-day challenge for CiCi’s guests to purchase enough “Buy a Smile, Be a Fan” Special Olympics paper logos to cover an entire law enforcement vehicle. In addition to the logo proceeds, CiCi’s will donate 10 percent of that day’s sales to Special Olympics Georgia.

Special Olympics Georgia provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This training gives participants the opportunity to develop physically and emotionally while experiencing joy and sharing gifts, skills and friendships.

“Special Olympics allows people with intellectual disabilities to be part of a larger community of athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters,” said President and CEO of Special Olympics Georgia, Georgia Milton-Sheats. “Partnerships with organizations like CiCi’s Pizza allow us to boost our fundraising efforts and help more individuals and families in Georgia.”
