Coach Resigns After Public Indecency Arrest
Reginald Burnette, a Roswell resident, had been on indefinite leave following the Jan. 29 arrest.
A former NFL linebacker, and Roswell resident, accused of exposing himself to a woman in an East Cobb subdivision last month has resigned from his job at a Sandy Springs school.
Burnette, 44, was arrested Jan. 29 on a misdemeanor public indecency charge, according to Cobb County Sheriff's Office online records. He was released the same day on $1,000 bond.
The alleged incident did not involve students or employees of Mount Vernon, which serves children in preschool through 12th grade, according to the AJC.
Burnette played three years in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
