The Roswell Police Department is investigating a single car accident with injuries, which happened last night at the Mr. Transmission Shop.

Police were dispatched to the shop, 10435 Alpharetta Highway, on Tuesday, May 22, at about 11:49 p.m. to investigate a single vehicle accident. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Alpharetta Highway with no headlights before striking the curb several times, leaving the roadway, striking two electrical poles and landing on its roof, according to witnesses.

The driver, Jose Margarita Hernandez-Cruz, 19, was conscious and alert when he was taken to North Fulton Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Hernandez-Cruz was charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving while unlicensed, and possession of alcohol under 21 years of age.
