Fancy yourself a swordsmen? Roswell will offer fencing classes for youth and adults at Waller Park Recreation Center this summer.

Classes will have participants donning traditional protective gear while instructors from Lotus Fencing Academy teach centuries old fencing techniques. Beginner classes are designed for ages 8-14 year olds with little to no prior fencing experience. Intermediate classes will combine beginner adults with youth over 10 years old who have some fencing experience.

The courses are eight weeks long and emphasize safety.

Registration for the fencing classes begin Feb. 6 and will only stay open until each class is full. The cost is $120 for Roswell residents and $180 for non-residents. For more information, call 770-641-3996 or e-mail ojconner@roswellgov.com.
