Hawks Will Pay GA 400 Tolls Wednesday Morning

For two hours all the northbound and southbound tolls will be paid, with Harry the Hawk and Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders on hand.

Even if you've never watched a game, GA 400 commuters will appreciate the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday morning, as the team is paying for all tolls on GA 400.

From 7 a.m.-9 a.m., the Atlanta Hawks will sponsor northbound and southbound tolls, including the 50 cent and cashier lanes, and the Cruise Card/Peach Pass lanes. The tolls are being paid in partnership with the State Road and Tollway Authority.

Not only will the tolls be paid. Harry the Hawk and Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders will be at the tolls handing out magnet game schedules, Hawks air fresheners and $50 Hawks Cards good toward the purchase of tickets to Hawks home games in November and December.

“Our hometown fans were introduced to a team with a lot of new faces this preseason, and now the Atlanta Hawks are ready to get the 2012-13 season underway,” said Bob Williams, Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena president. “As an expression of our gratitude to the Metro Atlanta area and our fans for their support, we will pay all tolls during the morning commute.”

The Atlanta Hawks open their season on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. when they face Jeremy Lin and the Houston Rockets.
