North Fulton Hospital began construction on a new Labor and Delivery entrance this week.

This entrance will allow laboring mothers to be dropped off and walk right into the Labor and Delivery unit. The work - which began Monday, Dec. 5 - is expected to be completed by the beginning of the New Year.

The new entrance is part of the hospital's "9 Month Network" program, which was rolled out earlier this year to support and pamper expecting mothers in the area. The program includes an e-newsletter with information about each stage of pregnancy, an on-call mom to answer questions and the "indulge mom" packages and services available to women delivering at North Fulton.
