In the exercise above, list what you believe to be top five positive attributes of Roswell and the most appropriate five negative ones. The information gathered between now and July 7 will be shared publicly and with city leaders.
Once the survey closes, we will post an overview of the responses the following week.
We love Roswell. I feel like I am part of a thriving small town community where you always see a neighbor or friend when you are out. It is a feeling of being connected to where you live. We moved here 14 years ago and have no desire to be anywhere else. I often tell my husband that if we ever win the Lotto, we can get the house on the lake or the beach but we will keep one here at least as long as the kids are in school. We love this family community.
Interesting list of attributes. I might ask the question : which Roswell? There are many personalities within the City's persona. It depends who you meet? What you try to get done? And who you know?
Roswell is fiscally irresponsible and tone deaf to the needs of the city, with corrupt and murderous leadership that seems to mirror Obama's administration.
I love Roswell, raised my children here. Been here for 21 years. Until I visited a planned community like the central FL/ Orlando area, I realized how nasty and old out apt. complexes and strip malls are!! This does not attract new business and young rising people to our community. We appear to be a community stuck in the 80's. maybe even older.
Your City leaders realize there are areas of Roswell that need redevelopment to attract new businesses and people of all ages. Many exciting things are taking place right now to move our community forward.
Earlier this year, Mayor & Council approved the Groveway Community Hybrid Form-Based Code Regulations. This is a great opportunity for the City and the community to revitalize this area into a thriving, vibrant neighborhood.
The City is also in the very beginning process of changing its current zoning code to a unified development code (UDC). Some of the goals of this 18-24 month process are to revitalize areas in decline, provide additional housing options, and reconcile conflicting rules to attract quality projects. It will give the City an important tool to work with and send another signal that Roswell is serious about being a community of choice to live work and visit.
The City just completed the draft of its Strategic Economic Development Plan. This plan will give City leaders an assessment of Roswell’s competitive position in attracting business to our city. It will identify opportunities Roswell may have in specific industries and locations within the city. The plan will provide a road map for the City to succeed in attracting private investment within an extremely vibrant and competitive regional market.

City of Roswell - How about we remove the abandoned and grafitied gas station just off the 400 exit on the East side of 400. It really sends a horrible run-down city vibe when entering Roswell.
Also, what in the world were you guys thinking with this new 500 yard lane going south from Mansell exit to the Mansell on ramp??? Its a lane to nowhere and has caused HORRIBLE traffic for 400 south near HBR. Thanks
GA400 is a state route in which the City of Roswell has no jurisdiction. Any lanes added to GA400 are done by the Georgia Department of Transportation. Roswell had no input into the additional auxilary lane you've mentioned.
Roswell is waking up to realize its full potential. We have great assets--wonderful people, a certain joie de vivre, people who gravitated to this special place nestled among trees and a fabulous river, and who preciously remembers the past, while embracing the future that holds so much for those who love Roswell!

Interesting thought Janet. If you'd like to include more than five attributes to cover every "personality," that's fine too

Great place to live and work.
Good schools, hospitals, cost of living, climate and most of all the residents.

I would love to see some communities for the over 55 group. I want to stay near my family, but there is no appropriate housing in this area.
