Jeffrey R. Edmonds, of Roswell has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Vermont.

Edmonds is a sophomore Chinese major in the College of Arts & Sciences.

To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

University of Vermont - Chartered in 1791, UVM was the first college or university in the United States that did not give preference to a religious sect in its charter.
