Man Found Dead Outside, Partially ClothedCartersville Patch

Bartow County authorities are investigating the death of a 25-year-old man found outside, partially clothed.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said a news release that at 11:02 a.m. on Saturday, deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to 47 Middlebrook Drive in response to a possible death.

They found the deceased man "outside partially clothed," but at this time, investigators don't expect foul play. The cause of death is not known. Visit Cartersville Patch for more on this story.

DragonCon Founder Back in Gwinnett JailSnellville Patch

Dragoncon founder Edward Kramer, 50, is in the Gwinnett County jail as of 4 p.m., Saturday, following his extradition from Connecticut to face charges of aggravated child molestation. 

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kramer was first arrested in Gwinnett County on Aug. 25, 2000, and accused of sexually abusing three teen boys during a sleepover at his house.

However, he was thought to be physically incapable of standing trial because of severe spinal and respiratory problems. Gwinnett District Attorney Danny Porter believes that's all a ruse, however.Visit Snellville Patch for more on this story.

Avondale Estates Police Release Details of Officer-Involved ShootingDecatur Patch

The Avondale Estates Police Department has released a statement about the chain of events leading to an officer-involved shooting Friday.

According to the police department's release, the suspect ran a red light at Covington Highway and Kensington Road around 5:30 p.m. Friday at a high rate of speed "and with total disregard of other traffic." Visit Decatur-Avondale Patch for more on this story.

Carrollton Man Killed in House Fire - Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A 70-year-old Carrollton man was killed in an early Saturday fire, the Carroll County coroner said.

Coroner Sammy Eady said the victim, Alvin Driver, was found in the living room of his home on Foster Street in the western part of the city. Visit the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for more on this story.
