Roswell Mayor Jere Wood will hold the 36th Annual Mayor’s Barbeque Ball on Oct. 20 at Miss Tillie’s house in the woods.
This year the ball will benefit The Drake House, which provides crisis housing and empowerment programs for homeless mothers and their children who are from the North Fulton area. The Drake House has served more than 240 mothers and over 420 children since opening their doors in 2006.
Enjoy live music by 3 Way Street and all the food you can eat during the event.
The Mayor will be cooking up freshly smoked BBQ, cole slaw and corn on the cob. Additional food will be catered by Adele’s Cajun Cuisine, Artisan’s Café, Shane’s Ribshack, Dreamland BBQ, Spiced Right Ribhouse, Harry’s Whole Foods, as well as beer, wine, soft drinks and s’mores by the bonfire. Come on out to mingle, eat, and dance the night away!
Tickets cost $25 for adults, but children under 12 are free. To buy your tickets early, go to The Drake House website and click on Events. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. For more information, contact Karen Pye at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 770-715-4886.
