New Restaurant Guide Reviews Roswell Restaurants

Malika Harricharan's new book covers several Roswell restaurants and is available for $10 online.

Atlanta serves up an eclectic mix of foods thanks to a diverse population, talented chefs and a thriving foodie community. But it can be hard to taste it all or even know where to begin, which is why the "Food Lovers’ Guide to Atlanta" is the perfect roadmap for a culinary tour through our southern city.

The book - which reveals some Roswell hotspots along the way - was written by Malika Harricharan, who covers Atlanta’s food scene at Atlanta Restaurant Blog. It has already made it to to the number one spot in its category on Amazon. And at around $10, it might just make the perfect stocking stuffer this holiday season.

In her book, Harricharan writes about several Roswell restaurants, including:

Bistro VG:

"The chic decor and somewhat adventurous menu make it a unique find [in] the Roswell suburb. Small plates of gnocchi and grilled octopus are a steal at $10 or less."

Salt Factory:

"The wood floor and exposed brick wall lend a rich, yet cozy feel to this high-end pub. The cheese and charcuterie plate is quite unusual, complete with house-made dipping sauces, it should not be missed."

The book goes on to share food-related information on topics such as food festivals and culinary events, specialty food shops, farmers’ markets and farm stands, trendy restaurants, time-tested iconic landmarks, recipes using local ingredients and local culinary traditions.

Harricharan believes her own background as an orphan smuggled out of India who has gone on to achieve acclaim as a food blogger will inspire people as she shares personal insights and "best of" menu selections.

Copies of the book can be purchased on Amazon.com or at local bookstores. To contact Harricharan visit her site, the Atlanta Restaurant Blog
