Kennesaw Man Arraigned on Child Porn Charges - Kennesaw Patch

A Kennesaw man was arraigned in federal court in Atlanta on Monday on charges of production and possession of child pornography.

Benjamin Sanders, 55, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Nov. 13. He is being held without bond. 

“Child pornography victimizes and exploits the most vulnerable and defenseless members of our society," United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said. This defendant is charged not only with possessing sexually explicit images of children, but also with creating some of those images.” For more on this story, visit Kennesaw Patch.

APD Motorcycle Crash Outside Philips Arena After the Hawks Game - Cascade Patch

An APD Officer was involved in a crash after the Atlanta Hawks game on Monday night.  At around 10 p.m. the female officers bike flipped at the intersection of Marietta Street and Spring Street, in downtown Atlanta.

Over a dozen officers were nearby directing traffic as the Philips Arena began to let out.  They quickly rushed to the officers aid and began providing immediate assistance.  The officer on the ground was conscious and alert, but was not allowed to move until an ambulance could arrive. For more on this story, see Cascade Patch.
