Nancy Shilenje, RN, was named the North Fulton Hospital DAISY Award nurse for October.
Leaders and staff at North Fulton Hospital recently presented Nancy Shilenje, RN, with the October DAISY Award for Nursing in a ceremony.
As a surgical nurse, Nancy Shilenje is a valued member of the nursing staff at North Fulton. Her dedication, compassion and leadership are evident to all who come into contact with her.
One patient says “Nurse Nancy consistently met all of the DAISY criteria. She provided excellent and compassionate care to my husband, making sure he was comfortable at all times. Nancy also included me as part of his care. She explained clearly with regard to all the procedures my husband underwent, and most importantly, provided me with hope for my husband’s recovery. She is without doubt our DAISY nurse.”
Each month since October 2010, North Fulton Hospital has honored outstanding nurses who consistently and without fail go above and beyond what is expected of them.
