When it comes to having a good time on New Year's Eve you don't have to travel far - there are plenty of places to ring in the New Year right here in Roswell!

From Aqua Blue on the east side of town, to Pasti's in the historic district, there will be no lack fun locales to spend the last evening of 2012 or the wee hours of 2013 - however you want to view it. Go with a group or make new friends, it's up to you. Here are a few of the options we've found to do around town:

-Melting Pot - Start off your evening with some melted cheese, or chocolate, if you prefer. The Melting Pot on Mansell Road will have two prix fixe menu options, which includes filet mignon and Maine lobster tail from $50-$60 per person. Enjoy selected wine pairings with each course for an added $20 per person.

-Aqua Blue - This sleek restaurant/bar on Holcomb Bridge Road exudes class. Aqua Blue is offering a three-course menu for $49 per person. At 9 p.m. a DJ will entertain diners and a complimentary champagne toast will take place at midnight. For reservations, call 770-643-8886.

-Pasti's - As a staple in Canton Street nightlife, you knew Pasti's had to have something going on for New Year's Eve! The restaurant/bar will offer a three-course limited menu for $49 per person, with a glass of wine or champagne for $55. -The Roswell Tap - This Southern restaurant on Alpharetta Street is well known for its "grit chips" and great atmosphere, so it's a sure bet for a fun New Year's Eve for the whole family. The family-friendly celebration includes a free ride home (within five miles). For the kids there will be a pizza buffet, s'mores, sparklers and Wii games for $6. The adults will enjoy prix fix menu options from $25-$50 per person. Call 770-992-9206 for more information.

-Andretti Indoor Karting and Games - Here's one for the kids! Get ready for a rip-roaring good time at Andretti on New Year's Eve. The fourth annual "Noon Years Eve" is a way to include the 5- through 12-year-old kids on the fun - without keeping them up until midnight. A prize-filled balloon drop will happen at noon, complete with an apple juice toast! The special event will include a $20 game card for only $13.

Additionally, Ceviche Taqueria & Margarita Bar, Roux on Canton, INC. Street Food, Slate Table & Tap and Little Alley Steak are among several Canton Street restaurants that will be open late for New Year's Eve.
