Pastor Leaves SharpShooters, Pulled from Car by Alpharetta Cops

The Cumming pastor was let go after the mistaken identity was realized.

After leaving SharpShooters gun range in Roswell, a Cumming pastor was pulled over at gunpoint by Alpharetta Police after they mistook him for an armed robber on Feb. 16, reports wsbtv.com.

God's House of Prayer Pastor Boyd Allen was with two friends on Alpharetta Highway when one of the friends realized they had left a newly purchased gun on top of the car and got out to retrieve it. Seeing the gun on top of the car, a concerned witness called police and that's what caused the confusion, according to the wsbtv.com report.

A dispatcher put out a lookout for the pastor's vehicle "for armed robbery and assault," says the report.

After the Allen was cuffed on the ground, the mistake was realized and he was let go. But he told wsbtv.com the incident still haunts him and he's considering hiring an attorney.
