A piece of the World Trade Center Tower 2 recently came through Roswell unexpectedly during its cross-country journey to California, where it goes on permanent display. Local fireman, Ronnie Harper, made sure to stop by Roswell Fire Station 1 to see the piece and pay tribute to the many heroic emergency personnel who were lost during the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Though the piece of steel was only in town for two short hours, hundreds of local emergency personnel, residents and media stopped by the station to personally honor the heroes who were killed in the line of duty that fateful day 10 years ago by signing a guest book that traveled with the piece.
