After defeating the Alpharetta Raiders, the Roswell High School Hornets girls lacrosse team is headed to the state championships on Saturday.
The team won prior playoff games against Lassiter High School on May 9 (18-14) and Harrison (9-8) on May 12. But they finally clenched their place in the championship game Wednesday night when they won the game against Alpharetta, 14-13, in triple overtime.
They go on to play the Milton High School Eagles for the state championship title on Saturday at Milton High School**.
The game will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at Milton High School, 13025 Birmingham Highway in Milton.
