'Speak for the Trees' Camp Registration Ends Friday

Registration for the Aug. 6-10 camp ends Friday, July 20.

Climb up a tall Truffula tree and enter the world of the Lorax teeming with Brown Bar-ba-loots and Humming-Fish!

Participants in an upcoming nature theatre camp at Chattahoochee Nature Center will explore the messages presented in Dr. Seuss' The Lorax through science activities, hikes, games and engaging activities - all while developing a short production for family and friends at the end of the mini-camp.

This mini-camp is designed to open up the outdoor world to creativity and exploration - allowing kids to use critical thinking skills while unleashing their imagination. Funded in part by the Environmental Education Alliance of Georgia's Petey Giroux Dragonfly Grants for EE and the Arts, the camp will allow students a unique opportunity to be outdoors, be creative, learn team building skills and perform live on a stage!

The mini-camp is open to rising fourth and fifth graders and will be
held August 6-10 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm each day. Cost is $65 for CNC
members and $85 for the general public. Advance registration is
required by Friday, July 20. Register online today or call 770-992-2055 x 237
