Holcomb Bridge Road Corridor Study
Public information open house scheduled.
Roswell's Transportation Department is holding a public information open house on the Holcomb Bridge Road Corridor Study (HBR/400) next week.
The meeting, Monday, April 16from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., is the second of three public meetings.
City staff will present the preliminary long-term transportation improvement concepts, including two new interchange configurations. The study area extends along Holcomb Bridge Road (SR 140) from Warsaw Road to Holcomb Woods Parkway and includes the interchange with SR 400. The study builds upon the Imagine Roswell 2030 Comprehensive Plan completed in 2011 and the Big Creek Bridge Road Study completed in 2010.
The HBR/400 Corridor Study focuses on addressing traffic congestion, tying land use and transportation together, and aesthetic improvements. It will also develop transportation improvement concepts as well as interchange beautification and streetscape concepts. The goal of the study is to generate consensus on improvement projects which may be implemented in both the short-term and long-term.
As part of the outreach for this study, the city wants to hear from the public. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the public meetings. Those who are unable to attend a meeting can go to the city's website for further information and to take an online survey.
The meeting will take place Monday, April 16from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, 1075 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell.
