Starbucks Set to Raise Prices in the Atlanta Area

Local Starbucks will soon raise prices about one percent.

The Associated Press reports that Starbucks has said it will raise prices in several regions throughout the country, including here in the Atlanta area.

The Seattle-based coffee chain is blaming the increase on rising ingredient costs and expects to raise prices about one percent. A "tall" coffee is set to go up in cost by 10 cents, along with six other beverages. The chain's "grande" size is said to not be affected by the price increase.

There are six Starbucks locations in Roswell, including 4646 Woodstock Road, 1530 Old Alabama Road and 10800 Alpharetta Highway.

What do you think of the cost increase? Will it affect your patronage of Starbucks?

No, I usually get a Grande and it doesn't look that those prices will increase.

No problem. Starbucks is a company that treats its employees well. They get my extra 1% happily.

That's a good point Janet. I've had plenty of friends work at Starbucks simply because of the point you just raised.
