The two men didn’t even exchange words inside a Clayton County convenience store. But minutes later, one shot and killed the other, Clayton County police said Wednesday night.

The two were inside the QuikTrip on Ga. 138 shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday when the silent confrontation began, Major Johnny Robinson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The men stared each other down inside the store, then left in separate vehicles, Robinson said. $50K Bond Set For Hit-And-Run Suspect - Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch

Bond was set at $50,000 this morning for the alleged hit-and-run driver accused of injuring a Woodstock High School graduate.

Five Men Arrested in Connection With Tuesday's Shooting in Monroe - Monroe Patch

Walton County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Keith Brooks confirmed that five men are in custody in connection with Tuesday's shooting in Monroe.

Brooks said that early investigations reveal that the victim, Reggie Hickman, 40, was lured to the location on Mountain Creek Church Road in Monroe on the pretext of a drug deal. Hickman, however, owed one of the subjects money. Visit Monroe Patch for more on this story

A day care van on S. Hairston near Wesley Chapel caught fire Wednesday afternoon. No children were on board the van, according to WSB.

Fire at Centennial Place Apartments Damages Clubhouse - Midtown Patch

The Atlanta Fire Department was able to contain a predawn fire at the Centennial Place Apartments located at 526 Centennial Olympic Park Dr., near Pine Street, Thursday morning.
