Todd Matthew Schenk of Roswell was recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and the Dean's List during the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.

Schenk earned one of the college's top academic honors, a Gold Star. Gold Stars are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semester's course work. Gold Stars are worn on the collar of the cadet full dress and dress uniforms and the summer leave uniform.

Schenk is a cadet seeking a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at The Citadel.

Gold Star recipients were recognized Friday, Jan. 25, during a military dress parade.
