I was at the game and no one mentioned that the son of Verron Haynes is the best running back for his age and the a player on the opposing team tackled his son then stomped him and was punching him. The referee let it go on before he decided to throw a flag. Haynes's son got up and the other player then grabbed at his helmet and Hayne's son then protected himself and was ejected from the game but the other boy was not ejected who was hitting his son. It seemed a little racist to me . I wish when things are reported the real truth is told.

I was also at the game; the Haynes kid on two different plays grabbed other players by the helmet and slammed their heads to the ground for no reason. The second time he did so a player told him to "stop playing dirty". At that point the Haynes kid charged the player punching him in the head. The other player never touched, grab or hit Haynes. The Haynes kid was out of control and at no point was he a victim or defending himself. Again the Haney kid was never punched, stomped on or grabbed by the helmet. It should also be noted that after Verron Haynes and his son were taken off the field a parent from his own team confronted him and was glad his son was ejected from the game.

I am a mother of a 3rd grader at an Alpharetta Christian School. My son plays football for our school & we, as parents, see many things on the field that are inappropriate - from the coaches, the opposing team, & our own team players & their parents. I don't know what happened at that football game as I wasn't there, but what I do know is that Verron Haynes is good people and a wonderful father. Instead of being angry at a man who is passionate about football we should be angry that a father has now been banned from attending his son's games for the rest of the season. That is the real tragedy.

The 'real tragedy' is that Hayes's son has a dad like that for a role model.

To be fair I'd like to retrack my earlier statement "The man is a thug". I don't personally know the man so what I should have said is based on what I've read "The man sound like a thug to me".

Were you at the game? Have you seen footage of the incident? It is very apparent that you also have a preconceived opinion of diversity. You know nothing of Mr Haynes or his son or the history they have with the Daddy Ball AYFA board. The football program as a whole in Alpharetta is a joke. It is for these Dad's who got a little bit of money and then become coaches but have no clue on how the game is played. It's a tragedy whats going on at AYFA and until the board changes and they shuffle up the head coaches in each grade the decline will continue. I was at the game and I did see two kids attack the younger Haynes on every play and then on the play when he was ejected one child punched the younger Haynes in the back of the helmet and that is when he turned around and swung. Mr Haynes did not threaten Mr Robinson at all he was yelling and upset about the call which in my opinion all three of the kids should have received flags and been tossed. I know there are many videos of the incident as I observed an NAFL league official taping the game and many other coaches taping for scouting. If this is truly not an attack on Mr Haynes then why doesnt the truth come out because the narrow minds of our community are still stuck on the fact that he is a man of color. The actions at Cambridge High School on Friday night was much worse but did not make channel 2 news or the patch ......hmmmmmm????

Why do black people scream racism? Why did you state that he "seems like a thug"? Would you say the same thing if he was a white man? Are the kids at Cambridge High School thugs based on the actions that took place during the game against Northview?

Well Mr Scott in case you didnt know racism is alive and well in 2012. You must live in an absolute bubble to think it does not. Believe me, we wish for a day when racism doesn't exist but as long as narrow minds think it is gone we are all held prisoners.

Racism hasn’t died it’s simply changed hands. An example of this was Barack Obama receiving 95% of the African American vote in 2008. By any standard racism at it’s best. If John McCain had received a similar percentage of the white vote there would have been riots in the streets. But you didn’t hear white America scream racism – NO - 47% voted for to elect the first African American President? So racism in America does still exist. It exists with those who find it easier to play the victim than to do the hard work required to compete. It exists for those who rather than an even playing field fight for racial quotes, affirmative action and acceptance preferences.

How did I know this would be Obama's fault and last I checked Barack Obama is multiracial. Yes you certainly are sensitive to diversity. The 47% white vote came from normal states where "southern tradition" no longer existed and people weren't stuck in 1850.

Mr. Haynes is a good man who does have periodic violence issues. He needs help and support. He needs to be held accountable but not run down. Every player who throws a punch must be ejected and every coach who threatens a ref, parent, player, or another coach should not be teaching our kids. This is not a racial thing. Other coaches have been ejected this year for yelling at refs. Who cares about their race, religion, or what car they drive? It is the behavior that is the issue. Can anyone truly claim that Mr. Haynes should NOT have been ejected? 2Sides' comments about AYFA and it's Board are not relevant and are, frankly, ignorant. What does 2Sides' opinion of AYFA have to do with inappropriate behavior of a Roswell (or any other) coach?

Seriously??? I don't see where there is anything good about the man... this guy has a track record for violence and disorderly conduct. Funny how people comment that this guy is a moral person when I just read in the forsyth county newspaper this morning that verron haynes is being sued in a Florida court for 9 different counts of things including civil theft,fraudulent misrepresentation, conversion, intentional infliction of emotional distress and battery etc. Wasn't he also just arrested in July for four counts of battery in Georgia?? According to GA mugshots online he was... Seems the apple didn't fall far from the tree if his son is being violent too... Just sayin'... The man should be held responsible for the bs he does.

Well he clearly has a record and doesn't need to be around anyone that he could possibly hurt, emotionally or physically. I honestly believe that he should be put in a locked cage with these people that he has done these things to so they can have their own justice towards him. He deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life. Men like him make me sick!
