Vin25 Bistro & Wine Bar Opens in Roswell's Historic District

The new Plum Tree Street addition has taken over the cottage formerly occupied by Mittie's Tea Room.

Every suburban-urban area needs a wine bar, right? Roswell's historic district can check it off the must-have list when Vin25 Bistro & Wine Bar officially swings open its completely remodeled doors to the public today, Tuesday, Aug. 28.

"I have always enjoyed historic Roswell's restaurant scene, but the one thing that has been missing is a wine bar," owner Phillip Cooper told Roswell Patch. "We have found a perfect location for our eclectic concept in a charming house on Plum Tree Street."

All traces of the tea room which used to occupy the historic cottage are gone. In its place Vin25 has traded tea leaves for fine wines and cucumber sandwiches for upscale cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Roberto Rambo.

"We are are full service restaurant with seasonal menus sourced from the freshest ingredients," Cooper said. "Our menus are designed with 'sharing and pairing' in mind."

Cooper, formerly the wine director for Ray's Restaurants, has been an Atlanta area sommelier for more than eight years. He is certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers and holds an international sommelier certification. Rambo attended culinary school at Le Cordon Blue and is classically trained in French and Asian cuisine.
