Earth Poets celebrate nature and ecology -- not as observers looking out through a window, but as participants in a living relationship with the natural world. Join our quarterly workshop to explore this ancient poetic tradition, dating to the earliest indigenous poets. Bring poetry to share, whether your own or a favorite poet's. Then we'll split up to experience the wonders of the Garden, jot down anything that inspires us, and gather again for sharing and conversation. Bring wine or poems to share if you like. More About Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center
Established in 1997, The Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center offers a wide range of classes, programs and special events for individuals, families and youth on such topics as organic gardening, sustainable urban living, nutrition and health. Its popular youth program is one of the metro-area’s largest and offers year-round educational programs. The two on-site gardens serve as gathering spaces, wildlife habitats and demonstration gardens. To get involved, be sure to sign up for a class or become a volunteer or a member.
