 hanie Celle for a lecture about the grand ch&acirc\;teaux in Ile-de-Fran
 ce on May 4\, 2012 at 7 pm. These prestigious &ldquo\;ch&acirc\;teaux de
  plaisance&rdquo\; in Ile-de-France were originally built in a close rel
 ation to landscape\, enjoying the proximity of the Seine River and of a 
 forest. Two centuries later\, the surroundings have become suburban. To 
 exist\, these ch&acirc\;teaux must fit in the missing piece of the Great
 er Paris puzzle.\nThis conference will be presented by St&eacute\;phanie
  Celle\, French State Architect and Urbanist Conservator of National Mon
 uments\, along with the participation of Laurence Sabati&eacute\;-Garat\
 , Head of Institutional and International Relations Centre des Monuments
  Nationaux. This event is also made possible by the support of the D&eac
 ute\;l&eacute\;gation G&eacute\;n&eacute\;rale of the Alliance Fran&cced
 il\;aise in the United States. The lecture is $15 for AF members and $25
  for non-members.
