More About Smith Plantation Home
The historic Archibald Smith Plantation was built by Archibald Smith in 1838 after he and his family left the Georgia coast to grow cotton and help found the city of Roswell. Enduring for 150 years, and through both the Great Depression and the Civil War, the plantation home--located next door to the Roswell Municipal Complex and City Hall--remains very well preserved.
Visitors may tour the farmhouse, the servants' quarters, the cookhouse, the barn, the spring house and other parts of the grounds.
