There is no other time of the year that offers as much beautiful choral music as the Christmas season. Welcome Christmas will offer many well-loved Christmas favorites, as well as a number of lesser known, but equally beautiful, holiday selections. The concert will include arrangements of O Come, All Ye Faithful, The First Nowell, and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing all gloriously arranged by Mack Wilberg and made famous by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Much of the music of English composer John Rutter has become synonymous with Christmas on both sides of the Atlantic, and MOS will include two of his holiday pieces in the program: Mary’s Lullaby and Star Carol. In this concert both the sacred and secular sides of Christmas will be represented—the MOS chorus will perform Craig Courtney’s A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas, a humorous approach to that often-performed (and much abused) Christmas favorite.

The Roswell United Methodist Church, located in the Roswell Historic district dates back to 1836. The beautiful church on its sprawling grounds has a rich history that consists of many trials and obstacles, some even cause renovations to the church. But as rich as its history is its welcoming staff. The church welcomes visitors and has various services for them to choose from. It offers many programs for children, youth, and adults, as well as support groups and a counseling center, and the nationally renowned Job Networking Ministry.
Services offered by the church include: Sunday worship, choir/music programs, missionary programs, study groups, adult programs, support group and counseling center, children’s programs, youth programs and a Job Networking program.
This church has been one of the staples of the Roswell community and is continuing to grow.
