Centennial Hosts Mini-Model UN
The internationally recognized Centennial High School Model United Nations team will host its third annual Invitational Preparatory Model United Nations Conference on Friday, November 22. Around 150 students from Haynes Bridge Middle School and Holcombe Bridge Middle School have prepared in advance for the event and will be given a first-hand look at what Model United Nations is all about during the full-day 100 % student run conference.
Model United Nation teams are academic simulations of the United Nations General Assembly. Students prepare by researching, studying, and discussing global issues then role-play as delegates. Students who are active in Model UN develop skills in research, writing, negotiation, public speaking, compromise, and conflict resolution.
