Centennial HS Hosts College Event

Centennial High School is excited to announce that it will be hosting its 3rd Annual Georgia Apply to College program, an annual event sponsored by Communities in Schools, the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of Georgia, and the University System of Georgia.

Centennial’s event will be held on November 7th. During the Georgia Apply to College event, seniors will receive hands-on assistance from volunteers, many of whom are from local colleges and universities, businesses and community organizations, as they navigate the college application process. The goal is for each student to successfully complete at least one college admission application.

In addition to this event, Centennial students in all grades will be engaging in a number of activities the week of November 4 which  promote post-secondary education to students. Students will have the opportunity to attend various information sessions on topics such as: Scholarship Essay Writing, Hispanic Scholarship fund, Disability Services for College Students, NCAA Clearinghouse for student athletes, Military 101 and more.
