Last Friday, Centennial band director Michael Reid accompanied ten Centennial and two middle school tuba players as they joined dozens of other musiciansparticipating in TUBACHRISTMAS at Underground Atlanta. This year is the 40th anniversary for TUBACHRISTMAS concerts which are presented throughout the world. TUBACHRISTMAS originated as both a celebration of the holidays and a way to improve public image for the tuba and euphonium. Although the weather felt like spring, tuba players at the event jumped right into the spirit of the season for a large crowd of onlookers.
