Local Restaurants Host Fundraiser

Table & Main and new sister restaurant Osteria Mattone, located in Historic Downtown Roswell, will host the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s (ACFB) Supper Club fundraising event tomorrow, Tues., March 11 from 5 – 10 p.m.  Supper Club provides diners the pleasure of enjoying a meal at some of Atlanta’s hottest restaurants monthly while supporting hunger. Twenty percent of each diner’s tab for the evening benefits the Food Bank. So grab family and friends for a great meal and help feed others in the community.

Some menu highlights at Table & Main include Scallop & Sunchoke Gratin; pan-roasted grouper served with spaetzle, fennel conserve, shrimp bisque and preserved lemon; braised rabbit with fennel dumpling, turnip puree, and roasted jus; and fried pastured all-natural chicken with a choice of a side.

Osteria Mattone’s menu features regional Italian cuisine with a focus on Roman fare.  Highlights here include the Suppli Al Telefono (risotto balls) with Bolognese, mozzarella and tomato; Tagliolini Di Mare - pasta with lobster, crab, shrimp, seafood brood, tomato and garlic; and Branzino - grilled sea bass served with roasted fennel and capers.

In addition to donating 20 percent of the evening’s proceeds to ACFB, Table & Main will host the kick-off event for a new program called EAT GA, the Edible Agriculture Tour.  This program is led in partnership by Taste of Atlanta and the Georgia Restaurant Association to bring together local farmers and Georgia chefs and families who want to buy, cook and eat local produce.  This is the first of many events planned throughout the state, which will also benefit local food banks including the Atlanta Community Food Bank.  For more information about EAT GA and upcoming dining events, visit EATGA.com.
