Roswell Girl Scout Cadette Troop hosts Silver Award events to celebrate Roswell History

Roswell Girl Scout Troop 11485 hosted three History Hunts May 3rd and 4th to educate local Girl Scouts and area residents about Roswell’s Historical Trilogy of Homes, The Smith Plantation, Barrington Hall and Bulloch Hall. The purpose of these three Silver Award projects was to promote, excite and educate attendees about Roswell’s impressive history.  The Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette (Girl Scouts in 6th, 7th and 8th grades) can earn.  The Scouts learned how to manage projects, how to speak in public, and how to work with community leaders.  They are looking forward to working on their Gold Award when they are Senior Girl Scouts.
