Alexandria Needs a Home for the Holidays

The sweet dog is a 3-year-old Boxer mix.

Meet Miss Alexandria, a 3-1/2 year old Boxer mix. Alexandria was rescued by Angels Among Us Pet Rescue when she was younger and was placed in a foster home, pending adoption.

Due to no fault of her own, Alexandria recently lost her home because her foster mom was forced to move and couldn't take Alexandria with her. She's been used to being with a family and in a home, so she's not excited about having to be in boarding, with no family, kids or other doggies to bond with and play with in a back yard.

Alexandria is a very playful, loving, sweet girl who is crate- and house-trained, weighs about 60 pounds and is full-grown. She is also spayed, up-to-date on all her shots and vetting, microchipped and ready to find that new family who wants to give her that special home for the holidays.

"Alex" gets along well with other dogs and would especially love to have other doggies who love to rough-house and play hard. She loves to chase her ball, and play fetch for hours. She absolutely loves people.

Alex is a silly girl who is goofy and so much fun. She loves being outside so she can run to her heart's content. She has a huge, forgiving heart and is not aggressive at all - she just gets excited and happy when playing and loves to do for as long as her humans or doggie companions will play with her.

She would also be the ideal companion for an athletic foster/owner who loves to go on walks so she can sniff out all those good, interesting smells along the way. She would make an excellent jogging companion, as well.  Alexandria's ideal home will have a fenced-in yard with a secure fence and gate so she can run free and play to her heart's content.  She is kid-friendly but would be ideal for older kids or young adults in the home.
