Allergy-Friendly Easter Egg Hunt Held Saturday

Food Allergy Kids of Atlanta will host an allergy-friendly Easter Egg Hunt at Gerrard Landing Park off Holcomb Bridge Road this Saturday, April, 16.

If the mere thought of allowing your child to search for Easter eggs triggers mild panic in you because they have serious food allergies, don't worry, help is on the way.

Your kids don't have to miss out on this spring holiday right-of-passage anymore, thanks to a special Easter egg hunt held by Food Allergy Kids of Atlanta. The organization will host an allergy-friendly Easter egg hunt tomorrow, Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Garrard Landing Park off Holcomb Bridge Road.

Instead of candy, Food Allergy Kids of Atlanta will have kids, grouped by age, hunt for over 1,500 toy filled eggs. The event location will be roped off in the park's grass fields.

In addition to age-based egg hunts (which begin at 10:15 a.m.), there will also be a bouncy house and a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny. Professional Easter photo packages are available beginning at 9 a.m.

In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all families, the organization asks that families do not bring food to the event. They will provide bottled water to attendees. However, the organization did not reserve the playground or pavilion area of the park for the event, which means that they have no control over foods that may be carried into those areas by the public.
