Annual Youth Day Parade Winds Through Roswell this Saturday

The 61st Annual Frances McGahee Youth Day Celebration begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

What began as a small parade to honor the youth of Roswell during 1950 will continue this weekend when the 61st Annual Frances McGahee Youth Day Celebration hits the streets of Roswell bright and early Saturday, Oct. 1.

Beginning at 10 a.m. the annual youth parade - which has a theme of β€œThe Rec Makes Life Fun” - will make its way from First Baptist Church on Mimosa Boulevard to end in the football field at Roswell Area Park on Woodstock Road.

But the fun doesn't end when the parade is over, the Youth Day celebration continues with a festival. Children 15 and under will receive a free lunch, while supplies last, and activities include inflatable slides, moonwalk, pony rides, climbing wall, entertainment and much more.
