The Atlanta Humane Society celebrates the first anniversary of its North Fulton Campus on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
AHS officially opened the Alpharetta campus in December 2011 and has since found homes for some 3,000 dogs and cats. At its first birthday party, AHS will celebrate those adoptions along with the impact the new shelter has had on the North Fulton community.
Pet adoptions at the Mansell Road facility will be available until 6 p.m. Saturday. Throughout the day, visitors to AHS will enjoy light refreshments and activities for children. There will be several prizes for a free raffle up for grabs, including a LCD TV from Best Buy, gift baskets from Paul Mitchell and Starbucks, a $50 gift card from Baker’s Man, and hotel stays with Wingate and Fairfield Inn and Suites. In addition, adoptions on the day will come with a free gift.
Baker’s Man Inc., AT&T, DoubleTree Hotel, Atlanta Dog Trainer, Lucky’s Burger and Brew, Best Buy at North Pont Parkway and Pampered Pet Care are sponsors of the event.
