Australian Shepherd Mix Looking for a Home

Katelyn is 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds.

Meet beautiful Katelyn. She is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Anatolian Shepher mix who weighs 55 pounds and acts younger than her age.

This precious girl is spayed, completely house-trained, up-to-date on all her shots and is micro-chipped.

Katelyn's story with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue started when a volunteer found her daughter, Bertha, in a local high-kill shelter. When the volunteer arrived to save Bertha, she realized her mom (Katelyn) was also housed in the pen next to Bertha.

Since Angels does not leave family behind, the volunteer lovingly took Katelyn with Bertha, and both were saved that day. What Angels didn't know at the time of rescue was that, once again, Katelyn was pregnant and wound up giving birth to nine beautiful puppies who have all been adopted into loving, forever homes through Angels Rescue.

She was an excellent mom, but now it is Katelyn's turn to be the center of attention and have her own loving, forever family. Katelyn gets along well with other dogs and, for the most part, ignores cats unless they run, which causes her to want to chase them.

Angels would prefer a home with no cats, and Katelyn would truly love to be the center of her human's world, so she needs a home where she can shine and receive lots of love and attention.

She is great with children and with humans and is a very friendly, goofy girl who loves to play and have fun. Katelyn never seems to meet a stranger - she loves all of her many toys, as well as her doggie bed. Her best thing in the world is to get belly rubs from everyone around.

Katelyn has shown a bit of "separation anxiety" and tends to chew things when left alone for long periods of time, unattended. She does well in her crate when unattended so this issue should not be a problem for any potential owner willing to crate her when left alone.

Her ideal home would be one where she is an inside dog and not left alone for long periods of time. A work-at-home, stay-at-home, or retired situation would be ideal for this wonderful dog.

She loves to go on walks with her owners, and the best gift her human could ever give her is lots of belly rubs, lots of toys and lots of love. For every ounce of love and attention you give her, she will give it back to you 10-fold.
