Bulloch Hall Welcomes the 9th Biennial Sampler Exhibit

"Works of Our Hands" can be seen at Bulloch Hall beginning Sept. 23.

Appreciate the beauty of needlework next week during "The Works of Our Hands" exhibit at Bulloch Hall.

The historical Roswell home will host an extensive display of antique and reproduction needlework samplers, presented by the Magnolia Sampler Guild Sept. 23-Oct. 1.

The needlework samplers are all either from the guild members personal collections and/or their own hand work. There will be 150 samplers and “smalls” shown in the 1839 childhood home of Mittie Bulloch, President Theodore Roosevelt’s mother.

This years’ kick-off luncheon presentation will be the Tennessee Sampler Survey founders, Janet Hasson and Jennifer Core. Hasson and Core researched and documented historic samplers prior to 1900. Tickets for the Sept. 22 luncheon are $35 for Magnolia Sampler Guild members and $40 for guests.

In addition, on Friday, Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 25, the guild will open a "boutique” in the new terrace room at Bulloch Hall, providing visitors with a great shopping opportunity.

“The Works of Our Hands” exhibit is included in regularly scheduled tours of Bulloch Hall Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Tours are on the hour. Admission prices are: Adults, $8, Seniors, $7 and Children, $6.
