Buy Christmas Decorations to Help Restore Hembree Farm

The Roswell Historic Society on July 27 will hold a Christmas decorations sale, with proceeds going towards the restoration of the Hembree Farm Historic Site.

Christmas will make a brief appearance later this month for Roswell residents.

The Roswell Historical Society will host a holiday sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday July 27 to help raise money towards the restoration of the Hembree Farm Historic Site.

The sale will offer residents a chance to snag vintage, new or gently used Christmas decorations. The sale will take place at the Historic 1836 Hembree Family Home at 775 Hembree Road.

Originally built in 1830s by pioneer settlers Amariah and Elihu Hembree, the Hembree Farm is one of the oldest sites in north Fulton County.

It was later gifted to the society, which currently owns and operates the property.

The society maintains a fund for the restoration of the land's structures and organizes the annual Flea Fling at Hembree Farm to raise money and awareness.
