Celebrate at Slate Monday to Fight Cancer

Slate Table & Tap will celebrate presenting its Relay for Life Roswell sponsor check to the American Cancer Society with happy hour specials starting at 3 p.m., Monday, April 8.

Inspired by the quest to find a cure, Slate Table & Tap will once again be the presenting sponsor for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Roswell - and they're inviting the community to celebrate with them.

In its second consecutive year as presenting sponsor, the Canton Street restaurant serves up a desire to fight cancer.

"Slate is 100 percent owned and managed by Roswell citizens and being a good community citizen is an important part of our business plan," said Brian S. Martin, restaurant president and managing member.

Faced with the reality that "cancer never sleeps," Relay for Life fundraises to support "more birthdays." More than four million people in 20 countries take part in Relay events around the world, raising funds and awareness each year.

"The support we have seen from our team at Slate, our patrons, our vendors, and the community is overwhelming," said Bethany Flowers, Slate’s general manager, who leads the effort and coordinates the restaurant’s participation.
